Exercising of Option / Reservation of Appointments:
Candidates should give their options in respect of all Districts in descending order to which they wish to be selected as indicated below: Candidates should give their options for five (5) Districts (ie. Sl. Nos. 1 to 5) in Column 23(a) of the OMR application form and for the remaining 24 Districts (ie. Sl. Nos. 6 to 29) in the separate form prescribed for this purpose and supplied to them along with the application form in descending order of preference.
The selection will be made on the basis of the marks obtained at the Written Examination (Objective Type) and the option of the Districts exercised by the candidates following the rule of reservation of appointments for Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes, Most Backward Classes/Denotified Communities, Backward Classes and 30% reservation of vacancies for women and 5% of vacancies for Ex-Servicemen, for each District separately. However, the Commission reserves the right to allot any candidate to any District having regard to his/her position in the ranking list, availability of vacancies in the Districts and rule of reservation of appointments.
10 Per cent of vacancies out of 30 per cent vacancies reserved for women shall be set apart for Destitute Widows. If no qualified and suitable Destitute Widow is available, then the turns so set apart for Destitute Widow shall go to women (other than Destitute Widows) belonging to the respective Communal category.
Explanation: “Destitute Widow” referred to above shall mean a widow whose total monthly income from all sources shall not be more than Rs.4000/- (Rupees Four thousand only) including any family pension or other receipts including income from private practice in the case of professionals. Such candidates should produce a certificate from the R.D.O. or the Assistant Collector or the Sub-Collector concerned in the format prescribed. “Destitute Widow” shall not include a divorcee.
If no qualified and suitable women candidates are available for selection, then those vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal category.
The 3% reservation for Physically Handicapped persons shall not apply for this recruitment as per G.O.Ms.No.618, Revenue (Ser.7) Department, dated 16-09-2006.
The number of vacancies advertised is only approximate and is liable to modification with reference to the vacancy position at any time before or at the time of actual selection.
A member of Adi-Dravidar Castes viz. SC on conversion to Sikhism or Buddhism will be entitled to the concessions admissible to Adi-Dravidar castes (Hindu) (SCs).
