Tata Memorial Hospital, (TMH)
The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) comprising of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) and the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) is a Constituent Institute of the Homi Bhabha National Institute (Deemed University) and is an Autonomous Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy.
The Centre is recognized for the Ph.D program in Life Sciences. Ongoing research at TMC addresses different aspects of Cancer Biology including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, metastasis, tumor immunology, immunotherapy, virology, chemotherapy, carcinogenesis, gene therapy in animal models, tumor markers, structural biology and global profiling of tumor tissue using proteomics and genomics, microbiology, biochemistry and medical physics.
Applications are invited in the prescribed form, for award of Junior Research Fellowships.
M.Sc in Applied Biology
Biotechnology or MBBS
With not less than 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Candidates who have appeared for M.Sc / MBBS final in 2007 or 2008 and are awaiting results may also apply.
Stipend: Rs.12000/- per month + HRA as applicable. Hostel facility is available on the ACTREC campus on first come first served basis.
Duly filled in applications in the given format along with a Demand Draft for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of TFMC-ACTREC (No fee in case of SC / ST / OBC) alongwith necessary enclosures (as mentioned in form) should reach the latest by 25th April, 2008.

A copy of the application, without enclosures, must be sent by email to email@example.com. The names of the candidates selected for written test will be displayed on the ACTREC websitewww.actrec.gov.in by 9th May, 2008.
An "Objective Type" written examination will be held on Sunday the 1st June 2008 at 10.30 a.m. at Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Technology, Opp. Kharghar Station, Sector No.7, Belpada, CBD, Navi Mumbai-400614.
Names of candidates qualifying in the written examination will be displayed at
Examination Centre and
ACTREC Security gate after 4.00 p.m. on 2nd of June 2008. Interviews will be held on 3rd, 4th and 5th of June 2008.
Candidates, who have a research fellowship from CSIR / ICMR / UGC / DBT or any other agency, need not appear for the written test. Their applications should reach ACTREC by the 25th of April, 2008. If they meet the basic eligibility requirements, they will be asked to appear for an interview.
The list of such eligible candidates who will be allowed to appear for interview on the dates mentioned will be displayed on the ACTREC website www.actrec.gov.in by 9th May 2008.
Applicants who have received a fellowship after the 25th April, 2008 can contact the institute by phone or email to request for an interview date. In case of receipt of a large number of applications, the Centre reserves the right to increase the eligibility requirements to a higher percentage or qualifications.
