All students applying for a Bar Council of India (BCI) accredited five-year B.A. LL.B. program and for any three-year LL.B./L.L.M. program within India who sat for the LSAT-India conducted in May this year, were eligible for the scholarships.
A total of 20 scholarships will be awarded to candidates applying for the five-year law program and 3 for the three-year law programs. Pearson will also waive test fees for the top 80 candidates who sat for the LSAT-India.
Commenting on the announcement of the results and scholarships, Khozem Merchant, President, Pearson India, said: "I would like to congratulate the winners of the Pearson Law Scholarships. These students have worked hard and I wish them all the very best in their pursuit of a legal education and career."
Candidates from Delhi dominated the scholarships, closely followed by Kochi and Kolkata. The largest number of fee exemptions also went to students from Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. They will be notified via e-mail by next week.
