'Nature' promises Stress-Free Education

With the aim of imparting stress - free education in today's competitive world, Nature, a school inspired by Waldorf system of education, was launched on Wednesday.

Chief Minister K. Rosaiah inaugurated the school located at Jubilee Hills in the presence of Secondary Education Minister D. Manikya Vara Prasada Rao and Roads and Buildings Minister Galla Aruna Kumari.

Floated by actor couple Rajashekar and Jeevitaa, the school promises to be an outlet for providing tension - free education.

Not everyone can get secure gold medals or top ranks and it is very important for parents to recognise this, said Ms. Jeevitaa. "Education is for general knowledge.

Educate them (students) without (making them feel) any tension. If you are not able to handle your children, we will educate them."

Dr. Rajashekar said he was impressed by Rudolf Steiner's Waldorf education system after his daughters attended one such school here.

"But after it was shifted some 40 km away from the city, I could not send them all the way there." Congratulating the couple, Chief Minister K. Rosaiah said schools that took into consideration interests of children and moulded them accordingly would be more useful than how big or small a school was.

"There should be no pressure on teachers or parents. Children should come to school happily as if they are going to a playground or to meet friends."
