Techno Banquet 2013
The Department of Computer Science in KBN College will organise ‘Techno Banquet 2013’, a State – level event on the college campus on 30th January, 2013.
In a statement on 29th January, 2013, Principal P. Krishnamurthy said such events were a regular affair in the college. They aimed at helping students keep themselves abreast of the latest developments in science and technology. Students from colleges across the State can participate in the event. New courses in Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana College
In view of the rising demand for online banking facilities the KBN College will be starting a new Diploma Course called PG Diploma in e – banking, the college President U. Umamaheswara Rao announced at a press conference Vijayawada on 5th July, 2012.
Speaking on this occasion PG Courses Director said that all over the world economical development was due to the good banking services and that in developing countries like India e – banking had gained a lot of importance recently. There are a lot of good opportunities in this field he said.
The one – year Diploma Course has been recognised by the Krishna University and will be on a semester basis.
Bio – Technology :
Students, who have opted for Bi.P.C in their intermediate, can now take up the B.Tech Bio – Technology course offered by KL University without a Mathematics Bridge course announced the University Registrar N. Rangaiah.
A centre of Excellency will be arranged for drug discovery, clinical trials and animal and animal cell culture the Registrar said.
The University will provide for good placements for graduates in well known institutes like ICRISAT, Sneha Biotech etc. he said. He also informed that the University had made research deals worth 6 crore with DBT and DST organisations.

Seminar on Economic Implications of Corruption
Management of the plans to organise a seminar on ‘Economic Implications of Corruption’ on September 13, 2011.
N. Raghav of Mumbai will deliver the keynote at the session to be attended by experts from various universities, colleges, chambers of commerce, Bar Association, Association of Chartered Accountants and industrialists. Suggestions made in this session will be forwarded to the core committee of Lokpal Bill.
Lanco Foundation Merit Scholarships distributed
Students of the Kakaraparthi Bhavanarayana College ( KBN ), Vijayawada have got merit scholarships from the Lanco Foundation for their excellence in academics.
KBN PG College director Y. Narasimha Rao said that MBA students M. Balasubramanyam and R. Seshagiri Rao got selected for the merit scholarships for the year 2009 – 10.
He said that these students would each get 20,000. College secretary and correspondent T. Seshaiah congratulated them on the occasion.
