Admission to Residential Schools begins

Collector Ramsankar Naik formally inaugurated the process of admissions to Residential Schools through lottery system at Kurnool on 15th April, 2011. Additional Joint Collector I. Prakash Kumar, DRO Suryaprakash and other officials assisted the Collector.

401 seats

Addressing the meeting of parents and observers, he said 401 seats in 15 schools were notified this year in the district.

Out of 241 seats reserved for boys, 5,624 applications were received. Similarly, 3,960 applications were received for 169 seats reserved for girls.

He said the admissions were being conducted in the most transparent way in the presence of parents and others. The list of candidates selected would be forwarded to the respective schools.

Transparent process

The selected slip would be signed immediately to avoid mischief, he said. The list would be announced after completion of the process.
