Study Centres for Optometry Programmes

Applications are invited from renowned Institutions with the following requirements to act as Programme Study Centres to offer B.S. Optometry and Diploma in Optometry and Refraction (DIOR) Programmes in English Medium of TNOU through distance mode.

• Minimum 20 years of Experience in the field of Opthalmology and should be doing higher end Refractive procedures and have their own eye banks.
• Institute should have association with World Council of Optometry and International Optometry Institutes.
• Institute should have their own Lasik Centre to train Optometry students.
• Institute should have a Registered Trust of International repute working in the International arena for eradication of Blindness and affiliated to 501 (3) C trusts.
• Institutes should not be running a similar course (Recognised or Unrecognised) affiliated to any other University.

Interested Institutions may apply along with DD for Rs.5, 000/- in favour of TNOU, payable at Chennai, towards processing fee to the Registrar TNOU within 15 days.
