TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) at Manipal is starting a one-year postgraduate residential programme in e-governance in August/September 2008 in collaboration with the National Institute of Smart Government (NISG), Hyderabad.
The aim is to help students acquire holistic understanding of designing e-Government projects, acquire skills in analysis, design, and implementation of e-Government application. Any graduate with working experience in Government, NGOs, PSUs or private sector can apply.
The intake is 40 students. The Director of the Institute D. Naga-brahmam said that about 2,000 jobs were likely to become available in State eGovernment Mission Team (SeMT), Project eGovernment Mission Team (PeMT) and the private sector.
The TAPMI will be starting a full-time, one year Post-Graduate Programme in Management for mid-career executives in July 2008 at its Bangalore campus.
