New Delhi: A new pattern of examination has been introduced in the Joint Entrance Examination for admissions to the IITs with a view to reduce the stress on the candidates; the Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday. To be implemented from 2007 onwards, the new examination would contain new features – it would be a single tier exam. Based on objective-type questions with two papers, each three-hour duration, Minister of State for HRD D.Purandeswari said in a written reply.
It would consist of separate sections in Physics and Mathematics she added.
These changes have been made to reduce stress on the Students.
