This facility would help in developing indigenous capability and serve as a national resource centre.

It would be built by a consortium of industries and research organisations.

A one-day workshop is planned on April 28, 2008 at IIT Bombay to discuss details and identify consortium partners.

The workshop would review the status of various solar thermal power routes in the Indian context and recommend an action plan.

Companies, research organisations and individuals interested in participating in this effort are requested to contact Prof. J.K. Nayak (jknayak@iitb.ac.in) by April 11, 2008 mentioning the current expertise, activities and future plans on various aspects of solar thermal power and indicating their specific interest.
