NALSAR 2016 Entrance Exam

NALSAR University invites Application for the Five Years Integrated BA LLB ( Hons. ) Program and One years LLM Program for the academic year 2016.

NALSAR BA LLB Eligibility 2016 :

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with the minimum of :
    • Forty five percent ( 45% ) marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved / OBC / ( Specially Abled Persons ) Categories and
    • Forty percent ( 40% ) marks in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST Category
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in April / May 2016 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT 2016 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
  • No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT 2016.


NALSAR LLM Eligibility 2016 :

  • LL.B. or equivalent degree in law examination with a minimum of 55% marks in case of Unreserved / OBC / ( Specially abled persons ) categories and 50% marks in case of SC / ST category
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2016 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT 2016 examination. However they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination in the respective National Law Universities at the time of admission failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
  • No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT 2016.

Note :

Statute – V provides that “Resident Student of Andhra Pradesh” means :

  1. A student who or any one of his parents has resided in the State of Andhra Pradesh for a period of at least four years; or
  2. A student who has studied in any one of the educational institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh for a period of not less than four years leading to the qualifying Examination.

To be eligible for the seats under “Resident Students of Telangana”, a candidate should be a Resident Student of Telangana and should have passed the qualifying examination from any educational institution in Telangana and should secure appropriate rank in order of merit in the Common Law Admission Test 2016.

30% (32 seats) Horizontal reservation shall be applicable for Female candidates for admission to B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.) course.

03% {03 seats for B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.) and 02 seats for LL.M. course} Horizontal reservation shall be applicable for Persons with Disabilities (PWD).

If a Resident Student of Telangana qualifies for admission in the regular All India merit, he / she shall be considered against the All India Seat only and not against Telangana Quota Seat. If no candidate is available against the Seats reserved for Resident Students of Telangana, such Seats shall be added to the relevant Categories under All India Quota.

The unfilled Seats reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates are assigned to Scheduled Tribe candidates and vice-versa. If sufficient eligible SC and ST candidates are not available to fill such Seats, they are reallocated to General Category candidates in order of CLAT merit.

NALSAR Admission Procedure for  2016 :

B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)  :

The candidate and parents will then report at for submission of certificates. The candidates should submit the duly filled in and signed application form along with the Original Documents.

Note: Original Documents will be kept in safe custody of the University till completion of the course. If the student needs original certificates for any purpose he / she may obtain the same on a written request and to be returned within a period of two weeks.

The Orientation Programme is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, 26th June , 2016 in the University Auditorium.  Parents are also requested to attend the Orientation Programme.

LL.M. :

The candidate and parents will then report at for submission of certificates. The candidates should submit the duly filled in and signed application form along with the Original Documents.
