Applications are invited for Admission to Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) and Kamil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat (BUMS) 5½ years Course 2015-2016 at A&U Tibbia College, New Delhi, Delhi University  .

DU UG 2015 Eligibility

Age : The candidates should have completed the age of 17 ( seventeen ) years on or before 31st October, 2015. The candidates completing the age of 17 years on 01st November, 2015 or later will not be eligible for admission.

Education Qualification ( 85% Delhi University Quota ) :

Ayurvedacharya ( BAMS ) : The candidates seeking admission to BAMS Course must have passed Intermediate / Senior School Certificate Examination ( C.B.S.E. ) / Indian School Certificate Examination ( 12 years course ) with Science ( Physics, Chemistry & Biology ) and English or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English from the recognised school conducting regular classes ( Except Patrachar Vidhyalaya & Open School ) situated within the NCT of Delhi only. While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.

Note :

  1. The candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BAMS course under OBC category must obtain 45% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.
  2. The candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BAMS course under SC / ST categories must obtain 40% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.
  3. Provided that the student has passed in all the subjects separately required for purpose of admission to BAMS Course.
  4. The candidate who has passed Sanskrit as a subject at the qualifying examination will be exempted from taking Sanskrit in 1st Prof. BAMS Course.
  5. For admission to the above courses he / she should has passed Hindi as one of the subjects at qualifying
    examination or High School / Matriculation / Secondary examination or equivalent.
  6. The candidates belonging to General PH category must have secured a minimum of 45% marks, PH – SC / PH – ST categories must have obtained a minimum 40% marks and PH – OBC categories must have obtained a minimum of 45% 9 marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth Examination.

Kamil – E – Tibb – O – Jarahat ( BUMS ) : The candidates seeking admission to BUMS Course must have passed Intermediate / Senior School Certificate Examination ( C.B.S.E. ) ( 12 year course ) / Indian School Certificate Examination ( 12 years course ) or any other equivalent recognised examination thereto with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed one language except S.U.P.W. from the recognised school conducting regular classes ( Except Patrachar Vidhyalaya & Open School ) situated within the NCT of Delhi only. While deciding the merit the marks obtained in the English or language will not be taken into consideration.

Note :

  1. The candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BUMS course under OBC category must obtain 45% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.
  2. The candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BUMS course under SC / ST categories must obtain 40% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.
  3. Provided that the student has passed in all the. Subjects separately required for purpose of the admission in BUMS Course.
  4. For admission to above course he / she must has passed Urdu and English as a subject either at the qualifying examination or High School / Matriculation / Secondary Examination or equivalent.
  5. All the admitted candidates in BUMS Course are required to submit a certificate that he / she has passed 8th Class Examination with Hindi. If he / she fails to submit the same certificate, he / she will not be awarded the degree of BUMS course until he / she submits the certificate to this effect.
  6. The candidates belonging to General PH category must have secured a minimum of 45% marks, PH – SC / PH – ST categories must have obtained a minimum 40% marks and PH – OBC categories must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.

Education Qulaification ( 15% All India Quota ) :

Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) and Kamil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat (BUMS) : The candidates must have passed the prescribed qualifying examination from a recognised Indian University / Boards conducting regular classes from a recognised School ( Except Patrachar & Open School ).

Medium of Instruction and Examination :

  1. Hindi will be the medium of instruction and examination for BAMS Degree Course.
  2. Urdu will be the medium of instruction and examination for BUMS Degree Course.

The courses of Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) & Kamil-e-tibb-o-Jarahat (BUMS) are conducted at Ayurvedic & Unani Tibbia College, Karol Bagh, New Delhi. DU UG 2015 Application Form

The candidates may obtain Bulletin of Information and Application Form w.e.f. 31st October, 2015 to 12th November, 2015 from the Office of the following address in the following manner :

    • By hand in person against Bank Draft /Banker‟s Cheque of 750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty Only) in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi on all working days upto 12th November, 2015.
  2. For SC/ST/PWD
    • By hand in person against Bank Draft /Banker‟s Cheque of 550/- (Five Hundred Fifty Only) in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi on all working days upto 12th November, 2015.
  3. The last date for submission of application form is 12th November, 2015 till 4.00 P.M. Application form will not be accepted after said date and time.
  4. Money in cash will not be accepted in any case for supply of Bulletin of Information.
  5. The application form may also be downloaded from websites www.fmsc.ac.in, www.du.ac.in and www.health.delhigov.nic.in/ayurvedicandunanitibbiacollege and the same may be sent to the following address duly filled in alongwith required Demand Draft/Banker‟s Cheque amounting to 750/- or 550/- in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi as the case may be.

DU PG 2013 Course Duration

The duration of Delhi University course for Mahir – e – Tib / Mahir – e – Jaharat and Ayurveda Vachaspati shall be three years ( two years after successful completion of preliminary examination ).

DU PG Entrance Exam Eligibility 2013

Candidates must have completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotatory internship after passing the BUMS / BAMS examination from the University of Delhi on or before Last week of September, 2013 and must have full registration with the State Council Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicines / CCIM. ( or )

Candidate must have passed BUMS / BAMS or equivalent examination from other university established by law and recognised by the University of Delhi and CCIM and have also completed one year or six months internship in a recognised Hospital on or before Last week of September, 2013 and must have full registration with the State council / Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicines / CCIM.

DU PG 2013 Seats Distribution

85% of the total Delhi University seats in Mahir – e – Tib / Mahir – e – Jaharat and Ayurveda Vachaspati are reserved for candidates who have passed BUMS / BAMS from the University of Delhi and rest 15% of the total seats are open to the candidates who have passed BUMS / BAMS from other Universities in India.

DU PG 2013 Seats Reservation

Delhi University PG seats reservation will be implemented ( SC / ST / OBC and others ) by applying 13 point roster.Three percent ( 3% ) seats shall be reserved horizontally for the candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped category.

DU PG 2013 Application Form

The candidates may obtain Bulletin of Information ( BOI ) and application form from the following address :

Candidates may obtain DU PG application form by submitting / sending a Bank Draft / Banker’s Cheque of Rupee 1500/- in person and by post Rupee 1550/- for GEN / OBC and Rupee 1300/- in person and by post of Rupee 1350/- for SC / ST / PH drawn in favour of the “Registrar, University of Delhi”, payable at Delhi from First week of September, 2013 onwards on all working days upto Last week of September, 2013.

The last date for receipt of request for supply of Bulletin of Information by post is Third week of Sepetember, 2013. Request received thereafter will not be entertained, even if the request is posted after the last date i.e. Third week of September, 2013. The University of Delhi will not be responsible for delay / loss in transit of the request for supply of Bulletin of Information by post, for any reason whatsoever.

Delhi University PG application form may also be downloaded from the University website www.fmsc.ac.in. ( Legal Size Paper ) and the same may be sent to the following address duly filled in along with required Demand Draft / Banker’s Cheque in favour of “Registrar, University of Delhi “ amounting to Rupee 1500/ – ( For Gen / OBC ) or Rupee 1300/- ( For SC / ST / PH ) as the case may be.

DU PG 2013 Counselling

The candidates in order of merit will be required to appear before the admission committee on Last week of October, 2013 for counselling in the following address :

No individual communication would be sent to the candidates for appearing before the Committee. If any candidate is unable to appear on the date and time specified above, he / she may send his / her representative giving reasons for his / her absence to the satisfaction of Admission Committee and also stating that the selection made by his / her representative would be final and binding on him / her. No TA / DA will be admissible for appearing in the Counselling.
