University of Mysore Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following Post Graduate Degree Courses P.G.Diploma / Diploma / Certificate Courses under Scheme-A and Scheme-B with different fee structures as detailed in www.uni-mysore.ac.in offered at ( i ) Manasagangotri, Mysore, ( ii ) P.G.Centre Tubinakere, Mandya, ( iii ) Hemagangotri, Hassan, ( iv ) University Satellite Centre, Chamarajanagar, Constituent Colleges and Government / Private Affiliated Colleges for the academic year 2016 – 17.
Mysore University Entrance Examination ( conducted online ) is Compulsory for all Post graduate Degree courses for all candidates except for foreign nationals with foreign degree. Candidates have to apply and appear for entrance exam separately for separate courses, except M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Tech ( CCT ) and M.Tech ( CST ) for which candidates have to contact Karnataka Examinations Authority ( KEA ). Important steps to be followed to fill the online application :
Step 1 : Candidates are first required to go to the UOM website ww.uni-mysore.ac.in and click on the link “Online Application for Post Graduate Entrance Examination – 2016”.
Step 2 : You will be directed to the “Main Page” of the Post Graduate Entrance Examination – 2016. Make a note of the Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria.
Step 3 : If you are a first time user, you will have to first register by clicking on the link provided for the Registration. Complete your Registration by filling in your Name, Email id and Mobile number, correctly.
On successful Registration, you will receive your PGEE ID and Password on your registered Email and / or on your Mobile No.
Please Note : Subsequent to receiving your PGEE ID and Password, you will not be able to edit your Name, Email and Mobile Number in your Online Application. In Case you need to change these fields then you will have repeat Step 1 to 3 and obtain a new PGEE ID and Password.
Step 4 : If you have received your PGEE ID and Password, then Login from the “ Main Page ” of the Post Graduate Entrance Examination – 2016 by using the PGEE ID and Password received by you. After, logging in with your PGEE ID and Password, you can:

- Edit to Fill your Online Application ( except some fields ) by clicking on the “Edit” button
- Upload the mandatory documents like scanned photograph, signature and disability certificate ( if applicable ).
- Submit your Online Application

Step 5 : Select your preferred mode of payment for payment of your Examination fees. Choose :

Step 6 : After filling in all your mandatory details, click on “Preview Application” to view your filled application and verify the details entered by you.This is also one last chance for you to edit the information in your application except you will not be able to edit your Name, Email and Mobile Number.
Click on the “Submit” button to save all the details entered in your application.
At this stage you will be able to view and print your partially submitted application which will have a unique application sequence number payment of the fees is described in steps 5 ( a ) or 5 ( b ) will completeyour application process.
Step 7 : Payment of The Fees A. State Bank Collect ( Online payment – As described in 5( a ), above )
If you have chosen to pay online through State Bank Collect follow the steps as below:
- Copy the link https://www.onlinesbi.com/prelogin/icollecthome.htm on your browser and click “Enter”.
- Check the box that you have read the instructions and click on “Proceed”.
- Select the State of Corporate / Institution as “Karnataka” and Type of Corporate / Institution as “Educational Institutions” ; Click “Go” to Proceed
- Select “Educational Institutes Name” as “University of Mysore”.
- Select “Payment Category” as “PGEE – 2016 Application Fee”.
- Input the 7 Digit Numeric Number against the “PGEE ID” that you have received after submitting the Online Registration form in Step No 3.
( This is most Important – Please fill the Unique PGEE ID without any mistakes. UoM will not be responsible for any bank reconciliations or refunds in this regard ).
Input “Name of the Candidate” as entered in your Submitted Online Application – STEP No 6.

Input “Mobile No” and “Email Id” as entered in your Submitted Online Application – STEP No 6.

- Input the total number of Exams for which you intend to make the payment as entered in your Submitted Online Application – STEP No 6.
- Input the amount payable by you as entered by you in your Submitted Online Application – STEP No 6.
- Input your Date of Birth and Category as entered by you in your submitted Online Application – STEP No 6 and Submit to make the Online Payment.
Note 1 : University of Mysore will not be responsible for any reconciliation refunds if the data on the submitted application form and the inputs in the online payment form of SBI Collect differ.
Note 2 : In case the amount paid is less than the payment that needs to be paid for the all the exams chosen by the candidate in the Online application then UoM will not allow the download of Admit Card for even a single exam and will not entertain any requests for reconciliation and / or refund.
B. State Bank of Mysore : ( Offline payment – As described in 5( b ), above )On the “Main Page” of the “Post Graduate Entrance Examination – 2016”, login using the PGEE ID and Password which you received on your E – Mail / Mobile. A “Download Challan” tab will be available next to your Application form tab. Click on “Download Challan” to download and print your uniquely generated SBM Bank Challan ( pdf file ). This bank challan will be in triplicate copies marked as “Bank Copy”, “University Copy” and “Candidate Copy”.
Pay the relevant fees in Cash at any Branch of SBM. The Bank will retain the “Bank Copy” and will give you back the acknowledged copies of “University Copy” and “Candidate Copy”. Please safe keep the “University Copy” required as Mandatory Document along with your admit card for appearing for the online examination. The Bank will also mention the Branch Name, Branch Code and the Journal Number on the “University Copy” and “Candidate Copy”.
Note 1 : Your Bank Challan is a uniquely generated document which is pre-filled with your Name, Application Sequence Number and the Fees payable . Please do not use any other challan to pay your fees. UoM will not entertain your request for reconciliation in this regard.
Note 2 : You will be permitted to pay the fees at SBM Branches through challan only after 24 hours of submitting your Online Application.
Step 8 : On the “Main Page” of “Post Graduate Entrance Examination – 2015”, login using the PGEE ID and Password which you received on your E-Mail / Mobile and take a printout of your submitted application. Keep a copy of the submitted application for your reference and safe keep. You will need to carry this copy during counseling.
- Please Fill Your Application With Utmost Care.
- Take Care to Upload The Right Documents For Your Photographs, Signature and Certificate.
- If You Upload Wrong Documents Or Wrongly Upload documents In Wrong Place ; Ex: Photo instead of challan and / or signature instead of photo then you will have to re-apply your online application again.
- Ensure you pay the correct fees @ 200/- per subject + 100/- Application processing fee. For example, if you wish to apply for 3 subjects you need to pay 700/- ( 200 x 3 + 100 ).

General Instructions :
- Candidate who have selected for Final Semester Examination can also appear for Entrance Exasmination without waiting for their result and they can submit Original marks cards at the time of admission provided they selected.
- Filing the application for entrance examination and later for admission shall be through ONLINE only. Online portal will be opened from 17th June, 2016 and last date for filing the application for entrance examination is 27th June, 2016 .
- The payment of corresponding fee shall also be On-line / E – Payment only with SBI or SBM.
- For every entrance examination a candidate wishes to take the Entrance Examination fee is 350/ – per Examination.

- Entrance Examination will be conducted for all PG courses. Admission shall be made on the basis of the merit list prepared by taking into consideration 50% of the aggregate marks obtained in the relevant subjects at qualifying Degree Examination ( all three years ), and 50% of marks obtained in the Entrance Examination.

- The candidates claiming reservation under Cat – I, IIA, IIIA and IIIB are required to pay full fee at the time of admission. Subsequently the Govt. would reimburse the same directly to their respective SB A/c.
- Applications without valid certificates and inadequate information will not be considered and are liable to be rejected.
- Admissions will be made as per the Government orders issued from time to time relating to reservation of seats. Allotment of seats to other university candidates is as per the existing rules of the university.
