Eligibility for VITEEE 2008:
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60% of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB)
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) for
- Candidates belonging to SC / ST

Students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and from the North Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) candidates are eligible for all the programmes.
Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics & Biotechnology programmes.
Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination in March / April 2008 are also eligible.
VITEEE 2008 Admission Procedure :
The cost of application form / Information and Instruction Bulletin with the brochure and the prospectus is Rs.850/-. The application form with enclosures will be issued from
22nd January 2008.
Application forms can be obtained directly from VIT Office at Vellore. Or can be obtained from the Head Post Offices of the major cities all over India, on cash payment of Rs. 850/- by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 850/- drawn in favour of 'Vellore Institute of Technology', payable at Vellore, to the Admissions Officer with full address of the applicant. On receipt of the DD, the application form with enclosures will be sent by post. The postal charges will be borne by the Institute. Candidates are advised to write their name and address on the reverse of the DD. VIT do not accept any self addressed envelope for intimation of any sort of matter.
