Application Cost:

Rs.100/-(Free for SC/ST/PH) for AII PG Courses.
Rs.250/-(Free for SC/ST/PH) for M.Phil Courses.
Rs.350/-(Rs.150/-for SC/ST/PH) for M.B.A, M.C.A and M.Tech., Courses.
Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PH) for M.Ed. Course

Respectively in the form of Demand Draft drawn in any nationalized bank in favour of The Registrar, Periyar University, Payable at Salem.

Other modes of payment are strictly not allowed. The SC/ST/ Physically Challenged candidates are eligible to get one application form free of cost on the production of relevant certificates.

A self addressed stamped envelope for Rs.40/- of size 28X13 cms has to be enclosed to get the application by post. Separate request has to be made for each programme.

The envelope requesting application form may be subscribed Request for application form for admission.

Mode of Selection: For M.A, M.Sc, M.Com. Selection will be based on the entrance examination to be held during the first week of June 2008 in the University campus.

Candidates appearing for final semester/year examinations may also apply but they shall satisfy the eligibility conditions for admission at the time of joining.

Admission Procedure : For M.B.A. Eligibility: Any Graduate with 50% of marks.

Admission : Through MAT/CAT/TANCET scores, group discussion and personal interview.

For M.C.A. Eligibility: Candidates who have secured 55% of marks or above in any one of the following or equivalent, are eligibility to apply.

Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Mathematics at +2 level
Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the allied courses.

Admission : Through TANCET-2008 score and academic score in UG programme.

For M.Tech. Exploration Geology and Geoinformatics:

Eligibility : M.Sc. Degree in Geology/Applied Geology / Geosciences / Geophysics/Marine Geology/Earth Science.

Admission : Based on Academic performance and if necessary entrance test will be conducted.

Last date for submission of applications within 20 days from the publication of UG results.

For M.Sc. Earth Science (5 Years Integrated course)

Eligibility : 10+2 conducted by Govt, of Tamil Nadu or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

Admission : Based on +2 marks and if necessary entrance test will be conducted.

Last date for submission of applicatioxns within 20 days from the +2 Result by Govt, of Tamil Nadu.

Issue of application form by Post: 06.06.2008

Issue of application form in person and Submission of filled in application form: 10.06.2008

For M.Phil, last date for submission: 15 days from the publication of PG results.

For M.Ed., last date for submission: 15 days from the publication of B.Ed, results.

For M.B.A and M.C.A. last date for submission: 15 days from the publication of TANCET results.
